There are many variables when a client wants to have an item typed or transcribed. Material provided may be handwritten, photocopies or photos of another document or other notes, cut and paste sheets, etc. Some materials will be submitted as a voice mail or other recorded method, that may be a challenge to hear due to background sound, speed of dictation, mumbling or use of acronyms or industry specific terminology and may not be grammatically correct.

For these reasons, the following rates are based on ideal conditions of material provided and the final product meeting the client’s needs.

Invoicing rates are typically based on the finished product and the best way to approximate what a job will cost is to determine the number of completed pages. A page of typing is based on an 8.5 x 11-inch sheet, one-inch margins, Times New Roman font style, size 12, 500 words at a cost of $5 per page. Tables, graphs, photos and other special enhancements are additional costs, depending on complexity and time involved. Transcription fees are $7 - $8 per page.

 

All work orders will be estimated prior to work being started.
